MIT World Real Estate Forum
13–14 July 2021 | Virtual Event
The MIT Center for Real Estate again hosts its annual World Real Estate Forum, virtually on July 13-14, 2021. The Forum is an unparalleled gathering of industry thought-leaders, distinguished MIT faculty and researchers, and real estate innovators, engaging in a wide-ranging conversation about technology, innovation and the future of the global real estate industry. The World Real Estate Forum will pay particular attention this year to pressing challenges related to climate change.
The 2021 program includes sessions on:
- Water, Wind & Fire: Understanding the impact of climate change
- CRE Retrofit: Decarbonzing the built environment
- Digital Twin: How virtual buildings can make the physical more sustainable
- Air Quality and the Value of Consumer Cities
- A New Level of Smart: When 5G and real estate go hand-in-hand
- (un)Real Estate: A real estate economy grows in the Metaverse
. . . and a new program called the MIT Innovation Showcase, where attendees will learn about new innovations from across MIT’s campus, directly related to the built environment.
“The MIT Center for Real Estate sits at the intersection of technology, innovation and the built environment, making it uniquely positioned to lead the conversation about fundamental transformation of the industry as we know it,” said Steve Weikal, Head of Industry Relations and Real Estate Tech Lead in the Real Estate Innovation Lab. “The Forum is where we get the brightest minds from around the world together in the same room to explore what commercial real estate may look like in the future.”
The World Real Estate Forum takes place virtually on Tuesday, July 13 and Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Registration and additional information about speakers and the agenda is available at https://www.mitworldreforum.com/.
